Multiplex QQT AMP
Quay Quarter Tower, Circular Quay
Illuminated NeonGlo Signage

The Challenge
Multiplex approached SACHR to create a large-scale illuminated sign for an 18-month installation at its Quay Quarter Tower AMP project in Circular Quay, Sydney.
The signage needed to be clearly visible and legible from Sydney Harbour and the Harbour Bridge, while remaining economical for a temporary installation.
Conventional illuminated letter signage would have been costly, impractical at the required scale and subject to a lengthy development approval process.
Mounted on the building's exposed scaffolding and jump forms, the signage also needed to be lightweight, durable, and able to withstand demanding wind conditions.
The Solution
SACHR developed a custom-engineered airflow mesh banner system incorporating our NeonGlo LED illumination technology to outline the Multiplex branding.
To overcome manufacturing and installation challenges, we designed the banner in eight lightweight sections, each crane-lifted into position, secured to the scaffolding and jump forms, and progressively zipped together to form one continuous 30-metre × 4-metre illuminated display.
The printed mesh provided strong brand visibility during the day, while the LED outlines created the distinctive visual impact of neon signage at night, without the weight of conventional illuminated letters.
The result was an innovative, cost-effective signage solution that combined impressive visual impact, lightweight construction, durability, and practical installation.

Cerith Wyn Evans Neon Artwork
ANZ Tower Liberty Place, Sydney
Large-scale Neon Art Installation

The Challenge
SACHR was approached by London's White Cube Gallery to help bring internationally acclaimed artist Cerith Wyn Evans' illuminating artwork - Light Event for 161 Castlereagh Street to life at ANZ Tower, Sydney.
The ambitious artwork featured four layers of intricate neon forms suspended within the building's courtyard, creating an extraordinary three-dimensional light installation measuring approximately 36 metres long, 9 metres high and 6 metres deep.
The original concept posed major challenges for engineering, fabrication, suspension, installation, and future maintenance. The proposed suspension method was impractical, so SACHR developed an innovative solution that preserved the artist's creative vision.
The Solution
SACHR developed the specialist technical design, neon production drawings, and installation methodology needed to bring the concept to life.
This included custom-designed acrylic neon holders, support brackets and an innovative stainless steel cable suspension system, allowing each neon element to be accurately positioned, securely supported and accessible
for future maintenance.
Our specialist neon holders and suspension technology later became a patented suspension system.
By combining creative thinking, precision fabrication, and engineering expertise, SACHR transformed this complex artistic concept into a spectacular, permanent architectural installation.

W Sydney
Darling Harbour, Pool Sign Feature
Illuminated Architectural Feature

The Challenge
SACHR was commissioned to bring a striking illuminated W feature to life for the W Sydney hotel's pool area at Darling Harbour.
The original concept featured a transparent W with a graduated blue perimeter and illuminated white LED outlines, designed to create the illusion of a giant illuminated W floating above the pool.
The feature's size, complex construction, and location created significant fabrication and installation challenges, especially the need to mount the structure securely
without drilling into the existing window framework.
The Solution
SACHR developed a custom-engineered mounting system using heavy-duty metal brackets clamped around the building's structural columns, supporting the illuminated W without penetrating the window framework.
The 5-metre-wide feature was fabricated in sections using transparent polycarbonate panels, a purpose-built aluminium framework and digitally printed graduated blue graphics, finished with continuous white LED neon illumination.
Careful design concealed the structural supports, connections and electrical components, maintaining the intended floating appearance.
The result was a striking illuminated architectural feature that integrates with the building's design while showcasing the W Sydney brand, day and night.
